A loving alternative for homeless pregnant or parenting young mothers

“Welcome to Our Home...”

Since our doors opened in 2001, we have helped over 500 young moms and their babies work toward a brighter future. As the only shelter for homeless parenting or pregnant teens in southern Oregon, we receive referrals from Jackson, Josephine, Curry, Douglas, and Klamath counties on a regular basis. Service organizations, church groups, foundations, volunteers with special skills, community partners, and generous donors —all are important reasons for our continued success.

Our home continues to be a haven of stability for girls in need of a secure home environment. When girls move into our home, they learn life skills to survive in the world as well as how to create a nurturing and loving family structure for their children.

Often this is the first time they have been exposed to family dinners, a peaceful atmosphere, and loving guidance. We are happy to encourage positive changes in each young mother’s life while living at Magdalene Home.

We are able to house 5 residents at a time and each girl has her own room that she shares with her child. The rooms are tastefully decorated and furnished with a bed, bedding, dresser, nightstand, crib, and changing table.  Other rooms in the home include two full bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room, and laundry room. We also have a fenced backyard with a play structure and large deck for outdoor activities.
